As the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta has a tropical monsoon climate classified under the Köppen climatic classification as Am. The city is characterized by a lengthy and the wet season running out of October into May and one brief dry period running through June to September. September is the warmest period and the least wet, while January is the most humid and even the wettest month.

The sky in Jakarta is relatively clear of the entire calendar year, using the rainy season, experiencing a proportion of the dry season, and skies. Fog and snow are rare occurrences from town. During the months involving November and February, the sun becomes mildly warm. It gets warmer out of mid-March through late October. The town is usually warm with an annual average high temperature of 31°C (87.8°F) and a yearly average low temperature of 26.3°C (79.3°F). Throughout the rainy season, the average monthly precipitation measures up to 299.7mm (11.8″), which sometimes results in flooding in the relatively flat regions.

Weather Classification Throughout The Year

Throughout the rainy season, Jakarta is vulnerable to flooding because of the low placement in the West Java shore. It is made worse by the dense people. This is the detail of the weather in Jakarta each month.

  • January

The city experiences daylight hours of up to 188 a month on average, along with the temperatures ranging between 26°C (78.8°F) and 30°C (86°F).

  • February

Temperatures in February stay steady in 26°C (78.8°F) minimal and 30°C (86°F) greatest. The humidity remains stable at 85 percent.

  • March

The weather is usually pleasant and warm, and the average temperatures vary between 26°C (78.8°F) and 31°C (87.8°F).

  • April

The minimum common temperature remains steady at 26°C (78.8°F). However, the maximum average temperature climbs somewhat to 32°C (89.6°F).

  • May

The average temperatures steadily scorched at 26°C (78.8°F) in its lowest, and 32°C (89.6°F) at the maximum reading.

  • June

In June, the sea temperatures read a continuous 28°C (82.4°F) even as it stays a transitional month into the dry season.

  • July

The minimum storms allow it to be drier. However, the skies are clear, as well as the windspeed minimal. This weather creates an ideal time for the holiday season.

  • August

Temperatures at Jakarta in September increased to the variety between 26°C (78.8°F) along with 32°C (89.6°F) creating the weather scorching.

  • September

September is the warmest month of this year using all the temperatures moving as large as 33°C (91.4°F) highest and 27°C (80.6°F) at minimum.

  • October

October is the official transitional month into the rainy season. It is distinguished by a growth in the rain gauge meter readings on 119.4mm (4.7″).

  • November

The rainy season begins to select November, together with the humidity increasing to 80% and the rain falling for thirteen days.

  • December

December at Jakarta is more humid than the previous few months, using a high score of 82%. Rainfall rises even further to fall for fourteen times on average throughout the month.

Suggested Time to Visit Jakarta

Jakarta’s weather is beautiful during the dry season. The city becomes crowded as people go out to take cover in the heat. The ocean temperature is hot and pleasant for all of the water activities to cool the heat off. Expect up to half an hour of daylight sunlight and magnificently clear skies good for sightseeing and skydiving. The rainy season is a terrific time to visit parks and nature-friendly exhibitions because wind velocity and the rainfall are minimal and the audiences small.

Time Avoided Attending Jakarta

Jakarta isn’t the perfect place to visit throughout its wet season, especially during the weeks involving October and February. Owing to its placement in the Coast of West Java and its altitude of 8m over sea level, Jakarta is prone to flooding during the rainy periods.
